ETERNAL RETURN #11
live art performance
TECHNOPOLIS 20, Paphos - Cyprus
12 December 2014
Duration: 1 hour
Materials
Artist's body, charcoal, grater, audience members.
Description of Action
I am standing on a pile of charcoals placed in the middle of the gallery space. As soon as the audience members enter the room, I make an eye contact with each person. Then I start walking in circles while grating the charcoal on the grater. The charcoal becomes dust. I repeat the same action until all pieces of charcoal become dust. Then I enter the circle and with my hand I shape the following phrase on the circle of dust, in Greek language: "That which exists may be lost, and that which is being lost may be exist."
